AI Status Monitor, operated by Genius Brain.
AI Status Monitor is a Chrome extension. On ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude it reads visible interface signals in the page, such as whether a response appears to be streaming, whether a loading indicator is visible, and how uploaded files appear in the page. It uses those signals to estimate status, confidence, and timing.
It does not connect to the internal systems, private model state, or hidden processing of ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. Estimates are not provided by OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic.
The extension uses the Chrome storage and notifications
permissions. Settings, a short local response history, an optional Pro license record,
and the ready-notification preference stay in chrome.storage.local on
your browser.
Settings you choose, including whether warnings, timeline, estimated time, compact mode, motion, theme, and sidebar size are on.
A local response history of up to 20 items. Each item is a duration, a file count, an optional character count, and a time. It is not the text of your prompt or the AI reply.
While estimating status, the extension can read visible text in the page, including labels and attachment names, inside your browser. Those names and the conversation text are not written into the saved response history.
If developer mode is turned on, diagnostic messages are written to that browser's console. They are not uploaded by the extension.
These product pages do not include an account form, an analytics script, or a request that sends extension data to Genius Brain. The Feedback link inside the extension opens a GitHub issues page only if you choose it. What you type there is handled by GitHub.
Pro is an Early Access add-on. If you activate a license, the extension stores the license key locally and sends only that key to the AI Status Monitor license API at ai-status-monitor.vercel.app to check whether it is active. The request does not include ChatGPT prompts, file names, conversation text, or other page content. After a verified purchase, the official success page may pass that license key to this installed extension. The extension still asks the license API to confirm the key before it stores Pro as active. A page message or a transaction ID alone does not turn Pro on.
If you turn on ready notifications, the extension can show a Chrome notification when visible ChatGPT interface signals change from an in-progress state to an apparent ready state. The notification does not include the conversation. Clicking it can bring that ChatGPT tab forward. An optional completion sound plays on this device from audio included with the extension. That sound is not uploaded. The extension does not connect to ChatGPT's internal systems.
Genius Brain develops and supports AI Status Monitor. Pro purchases are processed and sold through Paddle, which acts as the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Genius Brain does not directly collect or store customers' payment card details. Paddle's privacy terms cover the payment details Paddle collects.
